Tajuddin Ahmed: An Unsung Hero, a 100 minute long documentary film by Tanvir Mokammel on the first prime minister of Bangladesh who organised the Liberation War in the absence of Bangobondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, premiered at the Shawkot Osman Memorial Auditorium on March 25. The film brings to light the Liberation War and the establishment of a national consciousness by featuring Tajuddin Ahmed as a politician and an individual. The film encompasses footage, stills and a series of interviews with Ahmed's colleagues, friends and family members. Dr Kamal Hossain, Barrister Amirul Islam, Professor Rehman Sobhan, Professor Anisuzzaman, A K Khondokar, Tofael Ahmed, Toufiq Imam, Towfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Mahbubuddin Ahmed, Moyeedul Hassan, Zohra Tajuddin and Simin Hossain Rimi among others, have been interviewed in the film. Their matter-of-fact, unsentimental accounts enable the film to provide an authentic look at the most glorious period in the history of Bangladesh. Tajuddin Ahmed: An Unsung Hero is an insight to the life and times of a visionary. Tanvir Mokammel said the documentary is designed to be used as an authentic document of the freedom movement of the people of Bangladesh. Source: Daily Star Watch From here
